The funnest part for the kids was becoming "Junior Rangers." They were given workbooks that they had to complete. They had to search for certain things and answer questions. After completing the workbook, they had a special ceremony where they received their badges.

We went back in the evening to see the lighting ceremony. Very cool.

Mammoth Site

Crystal Cave

We had to climb down these steps (more like a ladder!) In total we climbed down 10 stories. Then we had to climb back out. Not such a good idea for someone who is terrified of heights.

Bear World
This park is like a drive-through zoo, where you get to see over 200 bears, wolves, reindeer, etc. from the security of your car window.

Crazy Horse Memorial

This is what the mountain will look like someday.
Native American museum.
90% of the "sculpting" on these mountains is done by dynamite. We were lucky enough to be there during one of the explosions. (Look at the base of the mt.)
