Can you see the faces?

The funnest part for the kids was becoming "Junior Rangers." They were given workbooks that they had to complete. They had to search for certain things and answer questions. After completing the workbook, they had a special ceremony where they received their badges.
Very proudly showing off their Junior Ranger badges.
We went back in the evening to see the lighting ceremony. Very cool.
Mammoth Site
Crystal Cave
We had to climb down these steps (more like a ladder!) In total we climbed down 10 stories. Then we had to climb back out. Not such a good idea for someone who is terrified of heights.

Bear World
This park is like a drive-through zoo, where you get to see over 200 bears, wolves, reindeer, etc. from the security of your car window.Crazy Horse Memorial
This is what the mountain will look like someday.

And that dynamite blast happened to be the biggest one to date on Crazy Horse monument.
Cool pix! It looks like you guys had a great time! Lots packed into such a short time, huh?!
Those sites look familiar! Glad you had fun? Did you make to Hill City for dinner?
I have always wanted to go there. Looks like it was fun.
What a fun trip! I love how adventurous your family is.
How fun. We would love to go there someday. It looks like you guys had a great trip.
Why didn't you show off your Junior Ranger badge, too?
So funny looking at your pics. Looks like we did exactly the same stuff that you did. We really liked bear country. We got in trouble b/c we had the window down while we were driving thru.. I couldn't resist. Jax asked if he could play with Caleb the other day. Explained that's not going to happen any time soon!!!
