The Austins in Austin!

Yay! We love Spring! Seriously, March and April are my favorite months of the year!

We decided to head down to Texas for spring break and visit Austin and San Antonio. It was a pretty short trip but we did manage to squeeze in lots of fun. Our highlight was, of coarse, Sea World! It might be blasphemous to say this, but it was almost better than Disneyland. All of the fun, including crazy roller coaster rides, but without the lines! My favorite part was watching Azul, which was like a cirque du soleil show...but in the water with dolphins.

We also had fun down on the Riverwalk, which is located in downtown San Antonio. Not the most super kid-friendly place, but we did find a restaurant that served something besides Margaritas.

As we were walking back to our car after dinner we sort of accidentally found the Alamo. It was closed so we didn't get to go inside, and the next morning instead of coming back the kids decided they would rather swim in the hotel pool. So that was that.

We also drove around Austin and went to a BBQ place named Rudy's that was recommended to us. Besides having delicious brisket, it was probably the cleanest restaurant I have ever been in. It was so clean I would have eaten in the bathroom. Caleb couldn't get enough of the hand washer next to where you place your order. You also gotta love that they use wax paper instead of plates. Austin is a super cool city. It is really green right now, and I couldn't believe how many people were outside enjoying a walk, jog, or stroll with their families.
We all give two thumbs-up to both Austin and San Antonio. If you live anywhere near Texas, it is definitely a place you must visit, especially in the Spring!

That was probably one of my favorite trips we've gone on as a family.
